  MARGOT LANE

Raised primarily in Buffalo NY, Margot Lane had an innate love for music at an early age. She began studying keyboard methods and technique along with classical piano at Woodshed Music School. Through determination and practice she excelled at an extremely fast pace, earning her several awards and the nickname “radar”. Margot continued her knowledge and dedication by adding the violin to her stable talents. Several teachers furthered her studies including Western New York Hall of Fame member, Jimmy “The W” Wozniak.

Later, as keyboard manager of a Guitar Center she began to collect vintage instruments. This prompted her to start a project recording and composing for movie soundtracks. While doing so, she accepted violin and piano teaching positions at both the Buffalo Music School and Crossroads Music Center. Margot has recorded on several singles and worked with countless musicians both live and in the studio. DEBORAH POMEROY
Percussion and Drum Instructor

Originally from the Windy City, my passion for music started at an early age. My father enrolled in the infamous Old Town School of Folk Music to study the guitar, and later studied privately with an instructor at the Lyon and Healy Music schoo in downtown Chicago. While playing 2nd lead guitar in a boys band I taught myself to play the drums while the drummer was out of town and left his drums in the basement of my parents house.

Six months later I was signed to USA records as the drummer for the all girl pop band, Daughters Of Eve. We put out several singles on the USA, SPECTRASOUND, AND CHESS/CADET record labels.

After the band dis-banded I ventured out west to L.A. and went on the road with another female band replacing Jenny Jones, the former talk show host, as their drummer.
Later, I became part of a studio band for Criterion Music Publishing Co. in Hollywood which also included Michael McDonald on keys and vocals.

I have played with many stellar musicians and shared the stage with many including: Harry James, Phil Harris, Frank Sinatra, Jr.; Tony Martin, Jr. and Guy Findley ( first white act on Motown with producer/songwriter Bob Gaudio); was hired by the band, SUGAR, and went over to Hawaii and played several clubs and The Diamond Head Crater Festival which was founded by Jimi Hendrix; recorded at Ike Turner's Bolic sound studio with Sugar. We opened for Bobby Rydell and Jose Feliciano in Kauai, Hi;

After I left the band I played with Hawaii jazz pianist, Clem Low and then went back to L.A. after doing everything that I could possibly do musically in Hawaii. I was recommended to rockabilly recording artist, Rip Masters and was the drummer on his,'Cool and the Crazy' album which has sold internationally; toured with the Cadillac Angels featuring guitarist, Tony Balbinot. In between I studied at Dick Groves Music Workshop and PIT @ The Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA.

Currently, I am drumming for The Jill Warhol Band. Check out my video on YouTube with The JWB.
